Abstract


Objective: While the purpose of the dental care system is to improve the oral health and general health of patients, these aims must be accomplished while also managing and minimizing the risk of infections. This study aimed to better understand the awareness of infection management and how well it is currently being implemented.

Methods: Assess awareness and utilization of hospital infection risk management by surveying 30 dental workers from two dental clinics in the G city area between January and February 2020.

Results: The participants¡¯ Awareness and arrangements were ranked high in the order below. The following are the things that make hand washing important for participants. Hand Wash Awareness 6 is ¡®wear gloves after contact with the infected patient¡¯s secretions¡¯ 4.8000¡¾0.40, and achievement is 4.8667¡¾0.34. Hand Wash Awareness 7 has a 4.8000¡¾0.40 ¡®wash your hands before contact with patients with reduced immunity¡¯ and an achievement of 4.8000¡¾0.40. Recognition of hand washing 9 is 4.8667¡¾0.34 for ¡®to wash hands after scaling¡¯ and achievement is 4.8667¡¾0.34.

Conclusion: The study showed that dentists surveyed had a high level of awareness of the need for infection control education. Therefore, dental workers¡¯ practice of ¡®washing hands before contacting patients with impaired immunity¡¯ and ¡®washing hands after scaling¡¯ shows that they are doing well.
